Interim payment sought for accident at work to alleviate 6 months loss of income

I had my accident at work, the 3rd party cleaning company and their insurance company have admitted full liability and my employers solicitors have admitted negligence/breach of duty. I have now asked the insurance company to make an interim payment on my schedule of loss to help alleviate the financial difficulty of not being at work for 6 months, That was nearly 2 weeks ago and despite both email and hard copy forms being sent to them they have not responded not even to acknowledge they received my correspondence. Can you just advise me what I should expect or what my next step should be? I am representing myself in this matter.

You are entitled to expect an interim payment in these circumstances and if one is not forthcoming you should issue court proceedings. You will need to explain the circumstances of your accident and attach a medical report and schedule of loss.

When proceedings have been issued you can apply to the court for an interim payment

Pursuing a personal injury claim yourself can be very risky. We would recommend that you appoint a solicitor at this stage.
