I am currently on maternity leave. I intend to take my full 12 month entitlement. What are my entitlements to paid holiday during maternity leave ?
As you will already be aware during Ordinary Maternity Leave (OML) paid annual leave, contractual or statutory, continues to accrue.
During Additional Maternity Leave (AML) contractual holiday entitlement will not accrue unless there is a provision in the contract for it to do so. However, Statutory Annual Leave continues to accrue at 4 weeks per annum under the Working Time Regulations - with no right to carry over unused holiday.
